Lately I have been spending A LOT of time online, looking at everyone else's blogs for inspiration. Aside from the more popular favourites, Apartment Therapy, Ish & Chi, Style-Files, Design Sponge, Desire to Inspire and Remodelista, I have been following a few sites you may have already heard of.
Birch + Bird
This is a site to follow if you like old, precious things and enjoy to hunt for them. "Nostalgic, vintage, simple and lovely" are the words used in their personal description for the site and I think that it is entirely accurate. The combination of photos that are put together are amazing and they often add a series of Etsy finds after their photos, which is even more inspiring. Rachel and Lily are the two women and self-described vintage junkies behind this site. They also have an Etsy shop worth checking out.
House Tweaking
Dana has been writing her blog since 2009. She, like me, is blessed with a "Handy Hubby", but her creative mind is a lot more daring than mine and the projects they take on together are fun to follow.
The Modern Home
The Modern Home is a site by a graphic designer named Beth. She has been documenting the renovation of their house (on a small budget) for the past year and, though the progress of her renos are slow, she constantly updates her blog with inspiration from other sites, magazines, architecture and photos of her family. It includes many DIY projects, for the craftier decorators.
